6 Things To Do Today To Create Your Dream Life

Written by Jerry on February 1, 2009 – 12:45 am -

Do you have a really great idea hidden someplace in the back of your mind that you just can’t wait to try out. You may not be the only one with that same promising idea. So what motivates you to get it done while others never even get started?

Starting and maintaining a correct positive attitude is the answer.

Positive thinking can help you achieve things that you never believed possible.  Is positive thinking by itself enough to get you what you want?  No.  I think it was Tony Robbins who said something like, While you running around chanting, "There are no weeds in my garden.  There are no weeds in my garden.  There are no weeds…", the weeds are eating up your garden."  Why?  Because you also have to take Action.  I don’t think the Positive Attitude Fairy is going to float down and do all the work for you.

Here are 6 ideas to develop that proper attitude.  Learn these ideas well and focus on them even when you aren’t actively working towards a goal.  Any new idea takes time to build up in your mind and is always  working in the background, even while you are not active.

1. Take passionate actions towards living your life by design rather than by default. Talk is cheap. Action = deposits in the bank of a brighter future. Dreams come true when you start by tinkering with your mind, then with your hands.

2. Commit yourself to creating a life you will love calling your own. Instead of reacting to what life throws at you, commit to creating from your heart and mind, out of love rather than fear. The dream will always be there, but a dream will still be only a dream without action.

3. Recognize and embrace the idea that each moment is perfect regardless of its outcome. Every time you run into something that appears too difficult to get around, why not try to accept it just the way it is. If it’s not the outcome you wanted, decide to use that experience to learn and make the proper shift in your focus or actions.

4. Live completely in an attitude of gratitude. Learn to appreciate what you already have and to use it in the best way possible.  Start where you are, with what you have instead of waiting for the perfect moment. Make gratitude your friend. It will be your greatest ally in your quest for a better life.

5. Keep your sense of humor, laughing at and with yourself when possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you lighten up!  Life has so much to offer to you.  Don’t allow yourself to wallow in self pity.

6. Believe that you are the creator of your own destiny. No one can take your enthusiastic future from you except for you! As long as there’s still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. The idea of thinking big is all about enjoying your life and celebrating a future that is created with your own hands.

I don’t mean to be harsh here, but by not having any positive thinking in your life you’ll simply end up as a dim bulb in a dark corner. So instead of subjecting yourself to being that dim bulb, create your own path by taking these first  steps to a positive attitude.

Never Stop Exploring Life!
