Reasons Why We Lose Our Peace

Inner peace is something we all hope for, but like anything else it takes some work to achieve. Peace is waiting within all of us, but unfortunately we often lose our inner peace and let destructive emotions take over.

If we know what to look for, we can stop these negative emotions in their path and keep peace as a part of our daily lives.

Here are some of the reasons why we lose our peace:

We Expect Perfection. Sometimes we do this without realizing it, but we always seem to be striving for perfection to an unnatural degree. You need to allow yourself to make mistakes and move forward, instead of kicking yourself for making a mistake you think you could have avoided.

Being Afraid. When we allow fear into our lives, it disturbs the peace. We need to conquer our fears – or accept them for what they are – in order to restore a peaceful balance.

Anger and Resentment. Some people don’t realize that strongly negative emotions like anger and resentment are detrimental to your health and well-being. If these emotions arise, it’s important to take a few deep breaths and release them.

Being Too Busy. In this fast paced world, it’s easy to take on too much. If we start to feel too stressed out, we lose our interior freedom. Sometimes busyness and stress are unavoidable, which is why it’s important to take frequent breaks.

Accept Challenges. Accept challenges and accept your situation. Once you surrender and deal with the situation you’re given, you’ll no longer have to deal with the negative emotions that might be fighting with you. If you can accept the worst-case scenario, then there’s nothing to worry about!

Regrets. Regrets can cloud your current thinking with thoughts of the past that are unchangeable. When we regret the past, we lose the opportunity for peace in the present moment.

Everything Happens For a Reason

You have to remember that everything happens for a reason and everyone has a purpose. Think about everything in your life that you’re happy about and things that make you proud, and allow that to bring you joy. Remember that peace usually accompanies positive emotions.

You might regret a decision or a certain thing that happened to you. However, those negative things had to happen in order for you to be given the life that you have now. The positive things would not be there without the negative ones too. You can find peace again by remembering that everything balances out.

Meditation

If you’ve lost your peace and negative emotions are the culprit, try meditation. You can discover many things about yourself and achieve inner peace by using this simple practice.

The heart of meditation is accepting things as they are. Meditate on the fact that you need to accept all emotions in order to become free.

Achieving Inner Peace

Inner peace doesn’t have to be achieved by any set rule. The most important thing to remember is to find something that works for you personally.

Set a certain amount of time each day that you can dedicate to maintaining peace. It could be meditation, listening to your favorite music, or taking a bath. Whatever it is, when you take these simple steps, you’ll achieve an unshakeable freedom within you!

Let Bygones Be Bygones

Written by Jerry on January 26, 2010 – 4:57 am -

Deep down you know that there is simply nothing you can do to change the past. No matter how many times you wish you’d done something differently, the past will always remain unchanged.

You need to find a way to deal with your regret. When you continue to anguish over the past, you allow your own negative feelings to consume more and more of your life. It’s time to put a stop to it, so you can think positively again and your future will be brighter.

Getting Caught Up In The Past

It’s all too easy to get caught up in the past. Nobody’s perfect and, no matter how hard you try, you’ll still to make mistakes. It’s how you deal the mistakes that will make the true difference in your life.

If you’ve made a mistake or suffered a tragedy in the recent past, don’t allow the tragedy to replay in your mind over and over again. Don’t keep talking about it or telling your story over and over. You don’t want to relive the negative feels as if you were continually going through the tragedy. No one deserves that!

Instead, you have two choices, you can actively work on correcting your mistake, or you can let the feelings go because they’re not helpful to you in that moment. Or even better, do both.

Learn From Your Mistakes

There are lessons to be learned from every mistake you make no matter how small. The objective is to work on find out what these lessons are.

When negative feelings surround your past, focus on the lesson that can be learned. You might have never learned that lesson without the mistake. And now that you’ve gained this wisdom you can avoid making that mistake again in the future.

You might even take it a step further and do more with the lessons you’ve learned. Maybe you could raise awareness by telling others about your experience. If you can help others avoid the same mistakes, you’ll be doing something great for them and it will also help you feel better about the situation.

Avoid Resentment

You need to do your best to avoid resentment (and all negative emotions). Resentment is a poisonous emotion if you don’t deal with it quickly. You may even know somebody who had a falling out with a family member and resentment keeps them apart for years? Think about all the good times they’ve missed out on because of this bitterness!

Let It Go

Depending on what you’ve gone through, there may be a mourning period associated with your situation, but you’ll eventually have to let it go.

When you finally do let it go, you learn to forgive yourself and forgive others. Forgiveness is such an important element of a healthy life. It allows you to grow as a person and move forward to enjoy all that life has to offer. You weren’t meant to sit around mourning the past no matter how tragic it’s been for you.

How Negative Thinking Hurts You

Sometimes you keep telling yourself you’re over it but the negative thinking keeps creeping back into your life. You need to realize that the only person you’re hurting is yourself.

Let’s say you’ve said or done something to hurt someone’s feelings. You may think about it for days until you can’t take it anymore, and you feel you have to find this person to apologize. Many times the person may not even remember what happened, or they may just accept your apology. The point is you suffered with negative thoughts until you sought forgiveness.

There’s no need to cause yourself ongoing suffering because you made a mistake. instead seek peace and resolution, then move forward with your head held high.

And don’t forget to start a daily meditation practice if you haven’t already.

Having Problems With The Law of Attraction?

Written by Jerry on October 9, 2009 – 3:52 am -

Having Problems With The Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction seems so easy for some.  Others try and try and have no success and they wonder why.  Here are 3 common reasons why some people have problems using the Law of Attraction.

1. You’re In A Hurry

The first answer to the question of why it isn’t working is that you might be expecting your intention to happen right now.  You have to realize that your job is sending out positive energy surrounding a subject.  You must trust Law of Attraction to send it back to you in its own time.

You may find that you are always tapping your foot and asking when it’s going to happen for you.  If you do, it may mean that you don’t really believe it will happen for you.  You are just testing the waters and not willing to commit to anything.

2. It Must Happen This Way

You might also be expecting what you desire to come by a certain method.  For example, you might want more money.  You are hoping someone will just give it to you.  This may be your idea of how the Law of Attraction works. However, if you are alert, you will see that there are dozens of ways it may come to you.

3. Nothing Is Happening Here

Another mistake you might make in using the Law of Attraction is to put too much emphasis on the evidence you see right now.  When you see things that seem to prove that the Law of Attraction is not working, you quit believing.  You get frustrated and start putting out negative vibrations. This will only bring more of the same.

If you really understand the Law of Attraction and the science behind it, external evidence will have little effect on you.  When you have total belief and trust that the Law of Attraction is working, you will understand that what was happening in the beginning was only the clearing away of earlier bad energy.

New positive, focused thoughts, without doubt, will come more often as you practice the Law of Attraction.  Nobody can perfect an art without practice.  Soon you will come to believe in the outcome because you believe in the process.

4. It Can’t Happen – For Me

You also might also have problems using the Law of Attraction because your past outlook has been so negative and limited.  You may have old nagging doubts that tell you the things you want are too hard to conquer or too much or too big to have.

When these emotions come up, it changes the energy you are sending out.  There are dozens of strategies to clear out these old limiting beliefs.  Look for ones that work for you.  Hint:  Keep tuning in to Cutting Edge Wisdom and you’ll find some these strategies in the near future.

If you properly use the Law of Attraction, you will have what you want.  It is and isn’t easy.  You only need to change one little thing a time to get closer and closer to your desires.

Keep Your Peace

Reasons Why We Lose Our Peace

Inner peace is something we all hope for, but like anything else it takes some work to achieve. Peace is waiting within all of us, but unfortunately we often lose our inner peace and let destructive emotions take over.

If we know what to look for, we can stop these negative emotions in their path and keep peace as a part of our daily lives.

How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For

Written by Jerry on August 22, 2009 – 12:17 am -

Guest article

How to STOP Being a Person that NOTHING Seems to Work For -
by Bob Doyle

Do you ever wonder why great things happen to some people
but not to you?

Do you ever read about people who have tried this or that
product and had some incredible result, but when you try it,
you don’t get the same result?

Have you become a person who NOTHING seems to work for?

Maybe you’ve thought about trying the some new self-
improvement package that sounds great, , but you’re just so
tired of things not working for you.

Let’s take a look at how you’ve gotten where you are and why
these things might happen.

First, at some point, you tried something – either based on
a recommendation, a testimonial you read, or some other
reason. Basically, you tried it based on someone else’s
positive experience. However, when you tried it, you did not
get the same result so you made the assumption that it
didn’t work for you. But how true IS this? Often – VERY
often – things work differently for different people, and
it’s a mistake to judge your life by comparing it with
others. Perhaps you just needed more time. Maybe your
circumstances are completely different! Regardless, however,
you made up – you CREATED a Truth for yourself at that time,
that truth being "This didn’t work", although remember, that
truth is based only on your surface comparison with someone
else…and it really doesn’t have anything to do with you,
and what – in the cosmic scheme of things – is best for you.
Those results you read about for that other person are what
was right at that time for them, and that doesn’t
necessarily mean that NOW is the time for you and that it
will happen to you the same way that it happened for them!

From then on, every thing else you try is then compared to
that first experience, with the Truth in your mind being
"Well, it didn’t work that time…let’s see if THIS works".
So again you’re comparing…and not really trying anything
"purely" and on it’s own merit without preconceived notions
or judgements. You are already working against yourself! You
may not yet automatically expect failure, but you have it as
an option, and perhaps even a probability based on your
previous experiences.

The more things you try with this mindset, the more you
fortify this mindset – it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy
that "Nothing works for me". Before you know it, that is who
you Become. The person you are about reaching your specific
goals or trying this or that product or technology is "It
works for others but never for me." Once you reach that
place, it will most certainly become true for you.

So what do you do? How do you break out of this pattern?
First, acknowledge how you got here…by comparing yourself
or your results with other people who are really on a
completely different path then you, although they may have
been after similar results. Then create a new idea for
yourself – give yourself permission to experience success on
your own terms, without judging what happens based on other
people or expectations set up by anyone other than yourself.

Once you believe that you deserve to succeed and that you
CAN succeed and that you WILL succeed, your life will
change. Whatever you try will work for you, because YOU
define what "working" is – not somebody else! You set your
own timetable, you are relaxed, and non-judgement. Your
infinite patience and lack of expectation based Externally,
will work with you in very powerful ways and you will regain
control over your destiny.
